New Years Eve/Rigby Christmas

We woke up this morning and had our Rigby family Christmas.  We decided to wait a week since Jessie was on her honeymoon and Jeff and I decided to start our own family traditions at our own house this year.  We woke up as if it was Christmas morning, kids in their Christmas PJ's, minus the letter and gifts from Santa.  The living room is getting more crowded as we added two new boys to the mix this year, Jay and Nathan.  Typical Rigby Christmas morning ended about 2 hours later and then we enjoyed a nice egg casserole, bacon and cinnamon roll breakfast.  The kids loved everything they received but nothing topped the Angry Birds game that Tyler got from Uncle Jay.  In his eyes, Christmas could be done, he was set!  We spent the afternoon playing games, getting the snack appetizers ready for our dinner, played some ping pong and somehow managed to stay up to midnight! (although I think the house was dark and quiet by 12:10!)

Jessie and Jay got back from their honeymoon this afternoon and we all went over and had pizza and heard about their trip!  It was neat being in "their" house and it is finally coming together.  Mom and Dad bought this townhouse from a short sale and it was in bad shape.  All December everyone has been working hard to get it up and ready for Jessie and Jay to move in and rent it from mom and dad.  It is livable now and only has minor cosmetic things left!  They were surprised with appliances when they got home!

Tyler has become a little bit more curious and affectionate towards Nathan lately which has been really cute!  Ty kept posing and asking to get his picture taken with him and then he wanted to take pictures of Nathan himself!

Playmate Christmas Party

We had a few of Jaiden's friends and their families from Playmates Preschool over for a "Christmas" party tonight.  We had been so busy and had just gotten back into town so it turned more into just a gathering of the families but that is okay!  We had a make your own pizza bar and all the kids had fun making their own pizza!  They all played so well together, even Tyler!  Too bad these guys will all be in separate elementary schools next year.

Bowling

We spent today hanging out as a family...we woke up late, played with toys, went out for lunch, braved the Peoria mall and then all met up and went bowling!  The kids had a blast and played very nicely!  Tyler really got into it and by the end of the game, Jaiden was bowling by putting her fingers in the holes!  Nathan and Caleb were great cheerleaders!
