Mousty Christmas / New Years Eve

We headed to Peoria today to spend New Years Eve with the Mousty's and celebrate our Christmas together.  Nathan and myself weren't feeling the best but we headed over anyway.  The kids got a lot of fun toys but were very intrigued with the HUGE box.  After opening the rest they were allowed to open the big one and were so surprised/excited to see it was a My First Trampoline to go in the basement during the winter and outside during the summer!  SOOOO excited!  We played some games, ate pizza but had to call it an early night because Nathan and myself just weren't up for it anymore.  I think this was the first New Years Eve in YEARS that I couldn't even make it to the New York ball drop!  We were in bed, lights out and asleep by 10:30!
Where is Grandpa under all those presents!
Lalaloopsy from Kyleigh
Jaiden was so excited to give Kyleigh her very own pedicure kit.  J picked it out all herself!
With his new Mickey Mouse ornament from Grandma

What could the big present be?!?!?!
She just now realized that it is a trampoline!
Woo Hoo!
Her #1 thing on her list was a Rapunzel doll!
Nothing worse than a sick baby...although I love the cuddle time!

Rigby Christmas

We woke up this morning and got to do the whole Christmas thing over again!  The living room is getting more crowded as Nate was able to join us this year!  Everyone got great gifts, some funny, some creative :)  The rest of the day was spent playing games, playing out in the snow and making homemade pasta for dinner.  Jessie and Jaiden made it and it was so yummy!
The traditional family pic in front of the tree

Tyler got Captain American and LOVED it!
Nicole was a huge fan of Waldo as a little girl so she is passing it down to Jaiden
BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!  Jay and Jessie got the go ahead from their landlords (a.k.a Mom and Dad) to get a dog

Nate got Coley a Keurig!
Tyler opening up his new hot wheel
Just as Jeff was opening this I commented that he hadn't gotten any tools yet!  This would be his only tool of the year
As long as this is displayed in the house, this entitles Mom a year of no cleaning the toilets!  She also got one with a vacuum attachement giving her a year of no vacuuming!

Christmas morning

The kids slept in till 730 and we headed downstairs to see if Santa came...and he DID!  They were so excited and Jaiden even noticed that Santa put the stocking back up on the fireplace in a different order!  Santa did well by everyone this year!  Nathan was pretty crabby (cutting his 5th tooth) so he ended up going up for an early morning nap but not before he got to open a few presents (he could have cared less about opening!)  The best gifts to watch open were the Bell and Ping Pong Table!
Nathan wanted NOTHING to do with a picture in front of the tree
Sheer joy as she opened up her Rapunzel dress

When I got this doll about a week before Christmas I didn't know this was the #1 gift of the season and that they were very hard to find!  I stumbled upon it at Wal-Mart and they had several!  I heard they were going for over $100 on ebay before Christmas so I ran back to the store an hour later and of course they were all gone!
A little inappropriate given the recent events but every boy needs a nerf!
The ONLY thing Jaiden wanted from Santa was a bell from his sleigh just like from the Polar Express.  She opened this and the note said this is only for very special girls and boys and that it wasn't from his sleigh, but from Comet the reindeer!
Her present that she made Jeff and I
What fun is just 1 Nerf?  You HAVE to have 2 :-)
Nathan playing with his remote control car from Jaiden
Another game!  I think in total they got 6 or 7 new games
A batman hoodie with a batman mask
A lockable journal "so my brothers can't see with I write"
Rapunzel a.k.a. Punzie as we call her now
Tyler asked for a ping pong table!  His reaction when he went downstairs was classic!
I got this quilt/blanket for Jaiden back in September and have been wanting to give it to her for months but was able to hold out.  Her old blanket wouldn't even cover her toes anymore!

24 Books for Advent

Back in the last few days of November Jeff and I wrapped up 24 Christmas books.  The idea was given to me by my friend Tara and the kids get to open a book every day.  They had so much fun and really took turns nicely!
